De los Muertos

I'm In love With the lonely one Rising Up With the Morning Sun Calling out Into the Night so loud Catch a breath Before we feel the heat, before we feel the heartbeat i'm not the one that you thought I was Where were you As I began to drown Though I might Might not have it all down In the hurricane You'll want my kicking feet, before we feel the heartbeat ooo where are we going from here? Will we travel without fear? I want to play this one close to the vest keep it tucked in close right next to my chest though I might might not have it all down in the hurricane you'll want my kicking feet, before we feel the heartbeat

Hear the wind blowing wildly in the middle of the night Turning over and over, but I'm not cooked right, I'm gonna run away Feel the rain coming down, as the water starts to rise Makes me wonder, this time, will you even care to lie? I'm gonna run away I long to vanish into deep forests in the palace of the woods Finding shelter 'neath the pine, the oak, and the fur I'm gonna run away ___ Got my opened eye closing, breathing in too deep Suck it in so fast, it's gonna burn your feet I'm gonna run away Face your head to the sky, put your hands to your throat They put cotton in your ears so you'll miss their note, I'm gonna run away Ooo Better clean out those ears, better listen here now Don't let your eyes go blind, or your ears loose sounds I'm gonna run away It's the constant arrival of the many human beings Which makes us deeply unsure about what makes us be I'm gonna run away Ooo Rolling down this river with my dove-tail joint Don't you distract me, let me get to my point I'm gonna run away It's the constant arrival of the many human beings Which makes us deeply unsure about what makes us be I'm gonna run away

Stories 03:57
And though we've heard all your stories With all the love and where you've been You're moving on by, but from where we are, I can see you You're still there And though we've heard all your stories Here in the night, under moonlinght We're looking at you, like we know what to do, keep it moving You're still there To take away Those that make us willing to lie, or waste the rest of our lives Take away Those thriving on pain, or that big fucking game, take a good look around because we're mostly the same Oooo
4.
Magic 03:20
There seeing me now The truth it somehow Seems to know where I've been, looking at you And I know That look in your eye When you smile, and it's alright Like you know where I've been And I'll see it all through Always for you I know you may not recall, What it felt like that day When I was walking with you but I know As we walk side by side Bathing in light Singing the words That were written for us So we can sing our blues away I will always remember Singing with you Always for you
5.
Serpentine 04:00
It’s all that you can touch, watch it all turn there to stone As I lay and wait for my chance at posterity You know it isn’t very much that makes you feel all alone I said the time is right to see what I could see Then from the lightning of the night, sending shivers up my spine For a restless eye is never one to trust Then as I stepped into the light, and took what I thought was mine And when I came to wake I wasn’t sure what I had seen Here I am, the Man of Stone Hiding High Up on My Hill Cave Rock Flame, Marble and Man Hiding High Up on My Hill And that’s all you’ll see of me (repeat) To find her weeping in the night, sent shivers up my spine She said “I stand before you as a face you’ve never seen” Then black eyes reflect the light, split tongue sips the wine And my sweet Louise is all but Serpentine
6.
Pundit 04:10
Hear the storyteller weep He’s screaming: have you all gone to sleep? So he catches the break to ride on by, hoping that the pain will die Here on a lonely beach Where you stand, just out of reach And though the flames grow high in the sky, I’d trade it all if you’d just say goodbye Standing on the old kitchen floor There as we’ve not been before Gliding on Sea’s splendid shore There as we’ve not been before Here amongst all the eyes and feet You know the weakest flesh is me They feed on the souls and the lies, perhaps we’ll stand up and watch them all die Standing on the old kitchen floor There as we’ve not been before
7.
Come close and we'll share a fire Blazing tales, dancing tree Smoke and smoke and bark And light Ahh we feel, changing Ahh we feel, maintaining Follow me, quit that pace It's all under, the fortress Smoke and bark, smoke and bark And light Ahh we feel, changing Ahh we feel, maintaing Gone by

Ivanhoe 04:38
The signaling stopped today, no more lights, no moons ray A call is made to no one’s ear, silence screams but no one hears I’ll leave my things to your sheet metal eyes, so when the fire comes, it all dies Then we’ll know its all been burned A weight will lift the pages turned We’ll sing the sounds of sweet reply Then turn away with no goodbye The silence brings another storm, the bats are gone but the bees will swarm The fear that binds is doubling as these days that pass grow more troubling If the beat lets up, if it lets us down, we’ll watch the fire rage through this whole town Then we’ll know its all been burned A weight will lift the pages turned We’ll sing the sounds of sweet reply Then turn away with no goodbye
9.
Panda Party 04:54
And I'll wait in line, one last time Because in my mind we're all just fine Please don't forget the rain, The soft patter water stain Its still cold, but there's life in the pain And so I go, in this tumbling picture frame Its hard to think about what it feels like when time stops So Hey, lets Celebrate Because it May Not have time to wait Till we dance away, we're passing by (repeat) Now I'm out in the line, as you glide on by And I can't stop watching and I don't know why Maybe its not a question, there no meaning on a rock But i sure do hope so, and I wish I didn't know why So Hey, lets Celebrate Because it May Not have time to wait Till we dance away, we're passing by (repeat) Till we dance away, we're passing by (repeat)

about

This is my first, and possibly only, acoustic record. I recorded onto 2 inch tape at Infrasonic Studio it in the afternoon of November 15th, 2012 with Eric Palmquist and his real-life Plate EMT Reverb. It's a bunch of my old songs that I like to play live from time to time too. People who know them will mostly recognize them from Cave Country and Madeline Flash recordings and performances.
